Bored the fuck out of your mind? Then read what these guys have to say about love, life, Transformers and just about everything else under the sun!
theonewithnosatay: Fun, Friendship and Megatron.
It's my 247th entry!
And due to the significance of the number 247 to me, I think it's time I indulge in a little ego trip. In less narcissistic terms, I want to pay tribute to the music, ideas and people who have helped shape me into who I am today (EWWW, I used a cliche).
First up let me tell you about 1 place: SJI.

This was where I grew up, a happy, carefree boy who knows his potential and works at fulfilling it. My best friends are from here. My lifelong friends are from here. There was homework not done, and rugby training not attended, but I graduated wishing my SJI days could go on and on forever. But with a bunch of very hot girls in it.
Let me tell you about two ladies: one who plays with wands (don't think dirty), one whose name is difficult to pronounce, but both extraordinarily beautiful. To me.
Emma Watson.

And Natalie Imbruglia.

Yes that's generally my taste in women.
Let me tell you about 3 songs: Wonderwall by Oasis, Crestfallen by Smashing Pumpkins and The Speed Of Pain by Marilyn Manson. The first is my drive, my direction - my core. The second is my perception, my emotions. The last song is my detractor, but sometimes, the one I listen to the most.
Let me tell you 4 virtues I hold true to my heart: Loyalty, especially to what you claim to love and believe in. It beats being a finicky, lost fool. Compassion, because sincerely helping others, going to their level and being kind to them will serve you better than displaying outward strength and infallibility borne out of a fear of appearing weak. Which is bad motivation to start with. Intelligence is very sexy and all, but fundamentally, it'll save you from being manipulated, and from perceiving things wrongly. That is, if you choose to be saved. Also, coupled with a sense of humour, intelligence can make your random sotong become desirable. Don't ask me how. It happens. Finally, Courage. Not in daring to go into a fight. But in daring to let your personal interests slide for the sake of the greater good.
Let me tell you about 5 guys whose transition from boys to men I've had the honour and privilege of witnessing, and being involved in. Aizat, Nas, Nazir, Mus and Is. My style of speech, my sense of humour and my views on life are influenced by them. Vice versa, too, I'm sure.
Let me tell you about 6 movies that have influenced me tremendously.

Chasing Amy, the movie that taught me how to love, and how to look at the now in a relationship, rather than what transpired in the past. It is also the movie that made me think Ben Affleck was a good actor.

Return Of The Jedi, which instilled in me a sense of adventure. And I almost teared when Yoda died. It is the movie that motivates me to come into my own as an individual, just as Luke did to face the Emperor and his father.

Dogma. One of my favourite comedies, but it also opened my horizons on religious tolerance.

28 Days Later. British. Zombies. Fucking. Brilliant. No... fucking brilliant. There was no fucking in 28 Days Later. But that did not stop the movie from being infinitely gory and intelligent. Oh plus they have subtle social allusions that really appealed to my cerebrum and moral inclinations. I really enjoy the zombie genre, and 28 Days Later is a fine exemplar of the genre.

Transformers. I was a big fan. Plus, I grew up hero-worshipping Optimus Prime. It's that voice and that over-tendency to sacrifice himself for the greater good. So when the autobots made the transition from bad late 1980s cartoon graphics to live action, I got all fanboy-excited and the film duly delivered. It's another treatise on heroism, but it's a very well-done treatise.

Robin Hood: Men In Tights. The. Funniest. Fucking. Show. Ever. With grammatically incorrect full stops between words for dramatic emphasis.
Finally, let me tell you of 7 things that make me infinitely happy.
Soccer. (The beautiful, fluid, healthily competitive kind.)
Chocolates. (Not those with raisins or other random fruits in them though.)
Music (Well not all. Classical, for example will bore me to depression. Indie rock, alternative rock and britpop on the other hand, would save my life.)
Compliments and other assortments of ego boosts. (I'm a Leo)
Peace and harmony. Yes they're considered one thing. (In the entire universe might be a bit difficult right now - seeing how the Tantalus V and Leo Minor III systems have been at war for the past decade - but peace and harmony in my immediate environment would be very very nice.)
People who are smart, funny and very nice.
Sleep.
That is me, in a nutshell. Okay, a larger than average nutshell. But these are the things I believe in, and revere greatly.
I am Suff.
I am 21.
And I am alive.
